I WISH For a very Special Family Day!

I would love for this Fathers Day to be very special! This will be my husbands first Fathers Day so I would love for us to be able to do something as a family. This will be a big day for us because our daughter is finally allowed to go out into public places. She is 6 months old and has been confined to the house since she was born for medical reasons. She had her open heart surgery on May 4th so although we still have to be careful of germs we can at least go out since she is 1 month post surgery. My first Mothers Day was spent in the hospital while Leightyn recovered so this will be a day to celebrate for us both. Also my husband has been very sick ever since our daughter was born. They assumed it was the stress of her health and our mounting medical bills but after several differant anxiety, sleep, and other meds did not help we pressed for more blood work. After much testing they found out it was a thyroid problem and though it might be cancer. Thankfully it was not!He has Graves Disease and so they gave him nuclear medicine to kill his thyroid. He has to stay away from me and the baby for a week so he has been sleeping in our garage on an old air matress, avoiding the house, using plastic utensils, etc.He has been locked outside with nothing to do and couldnt even go to work for the first few days since he is actually radio active. I feel so bad I know he is so bored, and he is not getting any good sleep. The hardest part for him is no interaction with the baby, he is such a loving Daddy and she is such a Daddys girl. By Fathers Day he will be allowed to be around us again! Money is tight with him having time off for the babys surgery and all of his testing and treatment, not to mention the medical bills. I would like to get something small for him, he is a TEXAS fan (Rangers, Cowboys, and Tech) and I cant find items here in Ohio. I would also like to go to the Zoo and possibly get some family pictures taken somewhere! I am attaching paypal if anyone can help!

    "I just wanted to let you know Billy received his first package today from the Cowboys!! Inside was a T-Shirt, some media books, a picture, and a pennant.     Hi Tika, I just have say that I am overwhelmed beyond words and how happy I am for your family. This has all worked out so great thanks to the many very giving HERO's on this site. The pics turned out so fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing them with me. It was great to put faces with names. I hope this Fathers/Mothers day is the best ever and something to remember for years to come. Thank you to all the awesome Hero's who worked together to make this so special for this family.     OH WOW!! Katie from THE Dallas Cowboys just called and told me she is putting some Cowboys things together for Billy and will get them to him as soon as possible; she is going to try and get them to him for Father's Day!! WOOHOO!

    I want to Add Kokothegorilla to our list of new friends as well as send out a huge Thank You to her for her efforts in getting the last small part of our perfect day taken care of. Also being the wife of a Texan she knows the strong bond and love they have for everything Texas :) I even got to speak to her over the phone a couple times now and she is so very sweet! I am leaving this open for her while she finishes up her efforts, in case any of those who are working with her want to make an official offer on it, but this wish has been fulfilled beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you all for your love and efforts! I am going to try to get our local news to do a special interest piece on this wish to hopefully get some more coverage for the site, my heroes, and especially DGN photo for their offer. I am hoping it will bring many more heroes to this amazing family and clients to DGN, so I can in a way repay her in a small way!

    I tried to put up a picture of Leightyn and Daddy but it was too big :( I guess I should clarify a few things now I re-read my wish! The Zoo we would be going to is the Columbus Zoo, My husband wears a Large Tee Shirt if there is a hero in Texas that can find one with any of his teams, and the pictures I have coupons to JC Pennys and Target. We have not been able to get any pictures of the baby professionally done since she wasnt allowed out and because of germs, she didnt even get the traditional hospital pics taken b/c of her health condition being so serious at birth:( I would really love some pictures of her and us as a family, all the ones we have are of either her and Dad or me and Dad, but none of all three of us!
