I WISH we could give our rescue dog the medicine she needs to help her with her arthritis.

A while ago, our rescue group (Abby Animal Sanctuary) received a call from someone who said there was a dog moaning in the backyard of an abandoned house. When we got there, to that cold, desolate place, I looked over an adjacent wall and saw a big, beautiful rottweiler. She was barely standing (her legs were shaking badly) amidst the heaps of broken beer bottles and trash. Since, then she's improved a lot. However, she has a bad case of arthritis. We took her to the vet again today, and he said there is a medicine (Adequan) that can help her immensely by rebuilding her cartilage. However, it is extremely expensive (a series of injections given over two months will cost $1000).

We really want to help her, but donations have been down, and we're trying very hard to raise the money.

Please help us help her.

  I love my rottweiler too----immensely. I tried a medication for his arthritis that made him so sick we thought he was going to die-----and immediately took him off it. Luckily, he still is alive and with us. We use glucosamine and chondroitin, and a baby aspirin every day, and this seems to help. If you find no other alternative, please consider trying this, as it is cheap. I am glad some people have been able to help. You also might want to try rottweiler.net---some people are awfully generous on that forum, and might be able to help, there are even veterinarians on there that might help you .

  Thank you for the work you're doing for all the animals you care for. I wish I could help out but I can't right now...I'm so glad someone had the courage to call and you got this sweet dog in time. I am praying for God to send many heros to help fund her medicine and get her out of so much pain....I will keep checking back and see if I can help, too...May God bless all of you who care for God's little creatures...

  I sincerely hope you find a hero for this wish! I pray that Abby animal sanctuary will be blessed with the funds and resources they need to continue the good work they are doing, not only for this lovely dog but many others like her. Great choice of music in the video, by the way!
