I WISH for a Walker for my five year old daughter

Hello. I am rewishing for a walker (Gait Trainer Pediatric Miniwalk 2) for my five year old daughter, Aaliyah. She is a determined little girl who deserves this walker and I want so bad to give it to her but I cannot afford it (It usual costs $2600 but its down to $2099 at this time). She has cerebral palsy and although it doesn't effect her mentally (shes very smart) it effects her physically. She is unable to walk and has trouble talking. The Gait trainer walker is specially formed to show the child how to walk.. it puts the swing in the hips and heel to toe placement and strengthens the childs muscles. I honestly believe that with the help of this tool Aaliyah could walk. She can pull to a stand but her muscles are not strong enough and she doesn't understand how to move her hips and legs correctly to walk. I have saved up as much as I can (with the help of one donor who we are very thankful for) which is a couple hundred dollars. If anyone can help us out to get this walker we will be forever thankful and this is something that will make a great impact on the rest of Aaliyah's life.

    How wonderful that the Rifton Comapny stepped up to donate this device for little Aaliyah! As a disabled person myself that must use a walker to get around I understand how important it is to have the proper equipment to ambulate. God bless you Joshua & Therese for your hard work in getting this wish granted! And God Bless these folks Joe, Sharon & Edie for their generousity in helping to get this walker to Aaliyah which most likely make an incredible difference for the rest of her life!!!

    i would definitely get a rx from her doctor and go directly to CSHCS. i know my 16 yr old received a pacer walker 2 years ago and she has spastic quad CP and quit walking. if i can help in anyway please pm me as i am also in MI. God bless. sue
