I WISH SOMEONE WOULD GO WITH ME TO AA

I AM EDITING THIS, AND HAVE ALREADY WISHED TODAY, DON'T MEAN TO BE GREEDY. BUT IF SOMEONE COULD TAKE ME/GO WITH ME TO MEETINGS, IT WOULD BE NICE. OR MONEY FOR A BUS PASS TO GET THERE. SAT. AND SUN ARE THE ONLY TIMES I CAN GET A RIDE. READING THE ORIGINAL WISH MAKES ME HAPPY, AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME. NEW TO THIS SITE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THANKS.(BE AWARE...MY FACE LOOKS LIKE A TRUCK RAN OVER IT) THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL, SO MANY PEOPLE HELPED........I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO SAD OR SICK. INEED TO GET INTO A HOSPITAL NOW. OR DIE. ALL MY BILLS ARE OVERDUE, I CAN'T TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY ANYMORE, MY BODY IS SHUTTING DOWN. I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO DIE, BUT IMAGINE IT'S SOMETHING LIKE THIS. I HAVE CALLED EVERY ALCOHOL TREATMENT CENTER IN MY STATE, AND NOTHING, NO HELP W/O MONEY. I AM READY TO GET IT OVER WITH. I AM TIRED OF BEING TIRED, AND WATCHING MY FAMILY SUFFER. I AM 29 AND READY TO GO. MY LIFE HAS BEEN GOOD, GOOD TO ME, AND I CANNOT GIVE BACK. THAT REALLY SUCKS, AND IF I DON'T GET HELP, IT'S TIME TO GO.

EVERYTHING YOU ALL HAVE DONE HAS BEEN MORE THAN I COULD HAVE EVER WISHED FOR. I AM SO GREATFUL FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE. I WASN'T SURE THIS WAS WHAT I WANTED, OR NEEDED, BUT IT REALLY WORKED OUT FOR ME. I AM SO ANXIOUS TO GRANT WISHES FOR OTHERS AS I GET ON MY FEET. I CAN'T EXPRESS THE LOVE I FEEL FOR WUAH. I PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS. THANKS FOR MAKING ME WANT TO BE ALIVE, AND MAKING ME BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A REASON TO STAY THAT WAY.

Hey buddy....I would totally drive you everyday but I live in NY. I am a poor college student but I really hope it works out for you....I know how the AA thing is...My dad and my buddy's dad had to go to AA due to their drinking addictions. I know you will get through this...I know it's not much physically but I will pray for you as much as possible! Good luck and God Speed sir....I know you can get through it...The night is only dark for so long :)

Wow that's awesome you are ready to get help. I have been clean since september 13, 2004. I am 23 years old. I know exactly how you feel. As long as you stay clean each day will get a lil easier. I never thought life could be this good. Their are some treatment centers that will take you on a grant or small payment plans and their should be state funded ones you need to go on the AA website and it will give you more information. I went to the watershed in Boca Raton, FL. I luckily had really good insurance at the time. Remeber this too shall pass and it will as long as you stay clean. You need to just take it one day at a time. After i was clean i lost a couple friends to addiction and it's so sad it's not worth it for your family or kids. They need you and they need you healthy. If i lived close i would be more then happy to take you my advice is hang in there and you can call the watershed and they can direct you 24 hours a day they are more then happy to talk.

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this. I recently entered counseling for alcoholism. Life is truly worth living. 1 John 4:4 says, "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world." God bless you brother.

I will pray that you stay strong in your sobriety. I just celebrated 13 years of sobriety last night with my family. I keep it green by looking back at the hell I put myself and my family through and that helps me so much. Stay strong, keep the faith and when things get rough talk to your family for strength and keep your past in sight so you don't ever forget. You can do it!!!!!

Congratulations on your sobriety. Good for you that you did it while you are young. I am 46 years old and have been clean and sober from Crank. February I will celebrate 5 years of sobriety. It warms my heart to see God in action. Have a fabulous New Year!

I am from missouri and wish i could give more than just my support but hang in there because wanting help is the first step and your taking it. I come from a family and a relationship full of alcoholics and your right its not fun. They never took that step your taking by asking for help. I have lost 2 grandparents, a father, a brother and a husband due to alcoholism. If i was anywhere near you I would take you by the hand and proudly walk you through those doors. I woul be there for you whenever you needed a friend or just someone to talk to. So hold your head up high and keep walking forward your angel will be there to continue to guide you in the right direction. Ihope you have a merry christmas. That special someone is looking for you.

I just wanted to say a prayer for you.
"God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change,
courage to change the things we can,
and wisdom to know the difference." I don't have enough space to write the rest but it is by a man named Dr. Rheinhold Niebuhr
