I WISH for a pulse oximeter for monitoring my daughtere

My 3 year old daughter has SVT her heart rate goes into the 250's at times she was recently hospitalized in ICU and chemically converted to a normal rythem however i am needing a monitor to regularly check her heart rate. they are fairly inexpensive on amazon but i do not have the money to by one. any help in getting one would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

    This is Christine Simpson from ClinicalGuard.com. We have a refurbished pediatric pulse oximeter that measures the blood-oxygen percentage and the heart rate (HR). However, the mechanism to measure HR works like regular heart rate monitors that only measure heart rate off of two beats and estimates heart rate by multiplying that by 60 seconds. This would only be effective in retrieving a heart rate if there are no irregular heart beats. Otherwise the readings are going to jump dramatically from one number to the next. If this is the case, you would have to get something similar to an EKG machine to get second to second changes with irregular heart beats. Please let me know if you're still interested.     I hope you find some heroes to help with your daughters medical need. I am so glad they were able to reverse her SVT with medication. You might put a want on freecycle.org. also God Bless You Both
