There is Christmas for my 3 teenagers this year. This year has just been terrible...

Hello... I am a mother of 3 children ages 14, 15, 16. My oldest child is with disabilities and the middle child is adhd and this year, well...the last five has been just terrible for my family. My Dad passed away in 04 with Cancer. He was very sick and passed away very quickly. He always made a big deal with the kids at Christmas as it was his favorite time of year. I always have since included something from paw-paw at Christmas. If that is not enough my husbands Mother and Grandmother both passed away in 07. A short time later my Grandmother passed away as well as did 2 her only 2 sisters. Also this year my mother in laws only sister. It has just been so unbelievably stressful. Then this year my husband got laid off his job and it takes everything we have just to keep up on the rent and utilities and food the kids. I have never had to ask for help before but I am hoping that someone out there can help me give my children a Christmas this year. As it stands right now they will not have one....They are as good as kids as it gets, they understand about they money issue or so they say...and have never caused a minute of trouble and have asked for nothing since Dad has lost his job. They deserve a little something after all they have been threw and if there is anyone out there that might be able to help us out I would forever be in your debt. If you cant then please pray with us as we pray for everyone in need during the holidays. Thank you taking the time to read this. I hope you all have a blessed day..

thanks archiemom... the dollar store would be wonderful, anything would be wonderful at this point, but what they really need is clothing, its sad when you fail your children, :(

CHRISTMAS IDEA:
Just wanted to share that there are inexpensive Christmas things you can get for your child that might not be the hottest toy on the market, and it might not be the exact gift they want. But if you can come up with $5 you could go to the local dollar store and get 5 gifts. I know the dollar store where I live has a pretty good variety of things for children ranging from bubbles and stufed toys to dinosaur sets and dolls that are generic barbies. For older kids they have books,notebooks,hairsets,perfume and even paint with boxes etc to paint, etc. I hope that perhaps this information will be of use to you and allow you to have many gifts for your child this Christmas. I know that a gift under the tree no matter its value is better than no gift at all. :)

STEPH, already tried the salvation army but they dont take the older kids...hey would be great to know that my family is being prayed for, oh honey...i always have my faith and belief thats how i have made it this far. he hasnt ever abandoned me, not always what i may want but exactly what i needed. love ya and HAPPY HOLLY DAYS!

Hi Amanda, my name is stephanie and i also have a wish list. I would like to encourage you to go to your local cooperative ministries, the salvation army and any churches in your area for help. They helped me with my children for Christmas. I really do wish that i could offer you financial help, but i'm short on that. However, i will add you and your family to my prayer list and believe with you that God is going to perform a miracle before Christmas. He can and He will.
