GRANTED!

Wish Granted by: WalkOnFoundationInc Dec 1, 2009

I WISH A Lavender BEar for My son with PLMD and Restless Leg

My 2 year son had Restless leg syndrom and periodic Limb Movement Disorder. Because of this he only sleep 2-3 hours a night in 20-30 minute intervals. He is miserable. He is very fussy, sick all the time, and just plain exhausted. He is on many medications for these issues but we are not seeing any improvement. I have decided to try a more homeopathic route as well in hopes for a little more success.
I found this bear recently. It holds an herbal pouch containing flax seed and lavender blossums. When put in the mocrowave for 2 minutes the flax seed oil enhances the lavender and the bear hold a moist heat for hours.
Lavender is known for helping to relieve stress, aches and pains, migraines and to aid is sleep;. I am willing to try anything and I just can't afford the bear right now. I have includded the website with picture and information and my paypal. Even the smallest donation would be amazing. I just want my little man to feel better.
Thanks for taking the time to read our wish and God Bless!

Try just a simple aroma therapy system, you can find near the massagers and such at walmart. You can get teh lavender and set it ona shelf in his roiom, no heat or candles or anything required

Patty, Thank you for the idea. I never thought of it and really don't even know where i would get any, do you? The restless leg syndrom and PLMD is caused by an Iron Defficiency in the Brain. At this point they have him on Iron supplements, 5 Oz of OJ a day to break down the Iron and Multivitamins. They are still not sure if he has an actual deficiency or if the "iron Transporters" in the blood that take iron to the brain jsut do not work properly. They also have him on Clonozepam and Clonodine but unfortunately they affect his mood and behaviour so we are trying to find something else yet again. Thank you so much for speaking with your husband. It means te world to us. We just do not kow where to look anymore.

You are right. I didn't realize. They were at a craft sale which is how I heard about them so I didn't even look at that because when I talked with them at the sale this is the one they recommended for him. There is a different one it is a dog called Finnigan. Here is the link. http://www.relaxwithflax.com/bears/finnigan.htm
    Thanks for pointing that out!!!

    Hello,

Is there another item that may be of assistance to his conditions? I clicked on the link for this item, however it is recommended for those 8 and up. Not recommended for small children.
