to cheer my 11 yr old diabetic

Granted by Heroes: Pumpkinfields
My daughter has acquired type 1 diabetes in June of this year two weeks before her 11th birthday. She just started getting used to all the other kids at school and all the things she can't have. And now, Well it is time for halloween and my daughter is just so depressed all she is hoping for is to be able to acquire a cheap laptop, she says she can't trick or treat and she is wishing for any kind of help to acquire this laptop. I just feel so bad and would like to be able to help so if anyone is interested please contact me, even some words of encouragement for her or some cards, she loves to get mail.. But her main wish is for the laptop....

Hi! My husband is type 1 diabetic and I know what you must be feeling. I would like to send you some "sugar free" candy for Halloween to cheer you up and have candy like all the other kids. Let me know what some of your favorite candy is and your address if it is ok. God Bless!

Hi I have 2 kids with Type 1! If you ever need to talk, I'm here! What type of insulin regimine is she on? She should be able to eat some Halloween candy! My motto is that my kids are kids first and diabetics second! I let them indulge on holidays and at parties! We just make some adjustments. Also check out Type1Parents.org It's a site for parents of kids with diabetes. I hope you can find a hero for the laptop!

I am unable to help with her ultimate wish.We are a ministry spending all our time and money on that, but I do have some nice little girly things I could send right now to help cheer her up.Being a nurse I know how devastating the disease is and how much it takes out of the child.I will keep her in prayer.Let me know if you want me to send her some small things and a card along with your address,Mary

what if she offers herself as a chaperone to help litlle kids go trick or treating to earn some cash?? I know if I lived closer I would so HIRE Her with 5 kids to watch that night by myself I am not looking forward to it. OR she can go trick or treating to donate the candy to kids who cant go out to trick or treat. There are still alot of things she can do on halloween even though she cant have the candy. I AM SORRY for her.
