I WISH I had a protective helmet for my son

My son has a condition calle hydrocephalus and just had his 2nd brain surgery. I found out last week my son has developed another hematoma. :( My wish is since he is 16 months old he is starting to walk and I am worried about him bumping his head. I was told this is the most crucial time for my son since he is just now learning to walk! I wish I could ease some of my fears and protect my son. Right now I feel alot of my fears of him hurting hisself has slowed him down a bit a helmet would be the best thing for us at this point. The picture is of my son in his plagio helmet..it was use to help reshape his head when he was 3 months old and this is NOT a protective helmet. ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

  MelloMommy, Thank you so much for the link. I was just looking up baby helmets. I really didnt know what to search for. That link is exactly what he needs and It would last ALOT longer. I am now hoping for that helmet.

  Looking online I've found helmets (with cute prints for kids)sold by medical supply companies for around $150-$180 that are designed for children at risk for brain injuries....more protection from impact than the Baby No Bumps which is designed more for use by toddlers who do not have a medical need for a protective helmet. I can collect and email you a list of links if you would like and hopefully enough heroes can donate what they can to help pay for a cute good quality helmet that will offer the best protection.

  This is the one we were looking at. I found a few But my sons hydrocephalus made his head larger than kids his age. This has an adjustable closure.
