I WISH for a Refrigerator

My refrigerator died about 3 weeks ago, and we just don't have the funds to replace it. I don't foresee having the money in the near future, either. I've been using a dorm-sized refrigerator in the meantime that someone loaned us. I'm very thankful that I've at least had that, but it's ending up costing me more money because of the way I'm forced grocery shop now. I can only buy what I can store, and I end up having to go to the store almost every day. Between the higher costs on smaller food sizes, and the cost of gas to get to the store and back, it's money I could be saving to replace the fridge. Arrrggghhhh!


Like everyone else, there's a long list of reasons we're in this financial bind, most significant being the loss of my husband's full-time job. He is working part-time right now, but it's at half the rate he was making, and fewer hours. This economy bites! I check both freecycle and craigslist every day, with no luck. Even if I did find one on craigslist, I simply don't have the money to buy one.


I'm hoping that someone in the area might have an extra one that needs a new home. I'll gladly take it!

  Words cannot convey how happy and thankful I am! The best way to describe it is to give you this visual....I can't go in my kitchen without hugging the fridge lol. My son was laughing at me, until I caught him doing the same thing later on hahaha. My husband finds himself patting it, and he keeps opening the doors and, checking it out in that manly kind of way lol. Yes, we've bonded with the fridge. We're a family now...and I owe all to my incredible WUAH family. It's much more than a refrigerator. It's a huge burden off of our shoulders, and having it also allows me to continue the tradition of Thanksgiving dinner at my house. That almost didn't happen this year. All I can say is Thank You, from the bottom of our hearts. You have no idea how much this really means.

  I do have a fridge I'm not using, with one caveat. It is in the basement and they have to get it upstairs. It's not huge, but the last time I plugged it in, it was working. we planned for it to be a second fridge and never needed it. I'm in Folsom if you're interested.

  darn it they just put me on a line to tell me I have to take a personal letter to the local BEST BUY. ANYone here from near that store? I got the letter just need another HERO TO hand it to the manager. I will be mailing on too, but hand mail is sooo much faster....
