GRANTED!

Wish Granted by: simons420 Nov 9, 2008

I WISH for stuff for my sick babies

My one year old has been sick since 10/31 with diarrhea! I tried to make him an appointment on Monday, but they had no openings so I had to wait until yesterday(Tues.) , they said that he has some sort of virus, they gave him a prescription for a medicine that his insurance wouldn't cover (it ended up costing me $14 for 12 doses and he was suppose to have 15 doses), I had to go to the store and buy him some bananas and bread (he's suppose to be on a bland diet), get him some pediasure (he's lost 4 pounds) and get my husband some medicine for his terrible poison oak (he got it on Sun. cutting wood). After all of that I was broke! Then I was awoke this morning (Wed.) at 5 am with my 4 year old throwing up with a fever!! I'm completely broke and I need a few things around here to try to get some of the sick out of the house! I have soiled clothes piling up and very little laundry soap, I've only got a spritz of Lysol left, my hand sanitizer is running low, I could use some baking soda and vinegar for around the house (I can use it as disinfectant and scrub, it's cheaper than the cleaner), toilet bowl cleaner, some antibacterial hand soap would be great, the boys need more pediasure, I only have 5 single serve bottles, etc. Plus, I'm out of shampoo, I could use the kids shampoo, but then they would be low. My husband gets paid on Friday, but we have no money right now and I would love for my babies to get over this mess, I can't stand to see them so miserable. God Bless~

Thanks so much to everyone!! I have just about everything I need now considering they are almost over this mess, Hunter's all better and Cory is still a little queezy, but no vomitting! You all have been so kind and caring, and I am truely grateful for everything that you've done for me and my family! I hope to pay everything forward in the near future, I do what I am able!! I cannot express how blessed I feel to have such wonderful people, absolute strangers, seem like family, helping one another!! I am so thankful to be a part of this beautiful online family, community!! God Bless!!

Yesterday at the doctor's office they said that he was still dehydrated but she thought that he should be over the vomitting, he just needed to drink, drink, drink! He did have a dry heaving spell last night as well as this morning, but so far, no more actual vomitting! Hunter hasn't had diarrhea in two days now, Thank you God!! So, I'm thinking the illness is hopefully deciding to leave the house!! My little brother and his fiance actually came last night and took Hunter home with him so that I could have a little rest, I've been exhausted, I had only had 8 or 9 hours of sleep in 3 days and I broke down and cried and they offered to help me some!! He's such a good brother!! Now I just have to worry about getting some extra nutrients in both of them and getting Cory rehydrated, I've made sure he has a drink at all times, water, ginger ale, sprite, pedialyte, etc. so hopefully within the next day or two, we'll be better!!

Was wondering why my donation doesn't show up, and it doesn't show up I granted a wish. Any clue?

He ended up drinking just an ounce or two of juice and they finally sent him home at about 2 am. He's got another doctor's appointment today at 1:15, right now it's 5 minutes to 10 and he's still sleeping. Maybe some rest will help him. I know he's sick of being sick!! I've had this house full of sicklies for a week now and I am right down exhausted!! I'm completely drained!! My house is a complete wreck (there shouldn't be any sickness in here, but there sure is a lot of stuff just laying around), I need a maid service to come in here for about a week!! LOL!! Well, for now, that's the only update I have!

So, finally around 12:30 he went pee, he took a nap, and seemed to being doing ok. Around 6 pm, he started vomiting again and hadn't gone pee anymore. He was throwing up everything that hit his belly, including pedialyte. So, I called the on call doctor and they told me to take him on the ER. When we got there, it took 3 different nurses and myself to hold him down so that they could an IV started, they ended up having to stick him 3 different times, and it took about 20-30 minutes to get done and over with!! Before they even stuck him, he didn't want to be touched by anyone but Mommy, he was in such a foul mood! He screamed at the top of his lungs the whole time they were working on him, he was shaking! I could have smacked one of the nurses, she screamed at him, that didn't go over well!! They ended up deciding that he was dehydrated, they gave him some fluids, a different anti-nausea medicine and then tried to get him to sip on something,

Thanks so much to Walk on Hero's for the $15 donation and to Toni for the $10!! For some reason those donations aren't showing up, but that's what I have gotten from them!! And then thank you goes out to simons420 for your donation as well!! You've all been so great!! We just got back from the doctor's office not too long ago and they said that Cory has the flu and he's on the verge of dehydration!! They gave him a shot of phenergan in his bottom (that was a terrible experience for him!)to settle his little tummy, and she said that if he's not able to hold anything down or go pee by 4 pm today, he will need to go to the hospital! Keep us in your prayers please!! Thank you again!!

Hey everyone! Thanks to those who are donating!! I appreciate every penny!! I am on my way in just a bit to take Cory (my 4 year old) to the doctor, his vomiting has gotten more severe, prayers please? I got on eBay and found some amazing deals on the Pedia Sure, I'm hoping to get up enough money to go on there and buy some!! They are selling them by the case!! I know I'm going to need to have the boys on it for a while (Hunter, my 1 year old had already lost 4 pounds on Tuesday and Cory hasn't eaten in 2 days, so he's probably lost some weight, too), so I might as well get as much as cheap as I can! If I can get about $30 more, in donations, I should be able to get a nice case and a couple of cleaning supplies, not everything on my list, but it would be enough to get me through. God bless you all, I appreciate all of my angels!!

Thanks for your help "ikeeptrying"!! Great advice, I hadn't tried freecycle, but I will!! I've been giving them bananas and bread as they would take it and I fixed them some rice for supper tonight and neither one of them would touch it!! They are worrying me sick!! I'm did two loads of soiled laundry, blankets and towels (Blah!!) today and now I'm down to about two more washes with my laundry soap, lets just pray that tomorrow goes a little more smooth than today!! Bless you all who are helping and offering kind words! I'm ever so grateful!!

Oh boy, you're in a tight spot. Do you have some rubbing alcohol in the house? Its smells up a room and you might want to keep the kiddies away but it works for us when I have no discenfectant and its really cheap...just dillute it a little and becareful of some finishes. I know the dollar stores have a lot to offer. Your wish touched me so much but I only have a few dollars left for milk for us. Have you a freecycle where you are? You are allowed to ask for tolietry items and leftover cleaning products. Maybe a hero is out there for you locally. If you have insurance, I'd take them to the ER again if they both have fevers and tell them you ran out of supplies. Also, sometimes your local food pantry can help with tolietry items if you tell them your situation. Good luck to you. Bananas are great for that and also rice and coconuts.
ps, my son got sick after a visit to Walmart too!!!

I just thought I would add this, I'm almost positive that my 4 year old caught his mess from the doctor's office or Walmart yesterday. He's throwing up with a fever and my one year old hasn't had a fever at all and no vomiting, only diarrhea, neither of them are eating or drinking well! The bananas seem to be the only thing they are eating and they drink the pediasure better than water and they aren't allowed to have juice because it will just upset their little tummies even more! Right now, I'm more worried about getting them some more bananas and pediasure than I am the shampoo and small stuff like that, if I have to, I have a bar of soap that I can wash my hair with! But the cleaning stuff, especially Lysol would be a blessing!! I want my babies better!! Thanks again and God bless!!
