I WISH To Honor A Dying Hero......

I heard of an 11 year-old boy yesterday whose last wish was to feed the homeless. His name is Brenden Foster and he is from Bothell, WA. Brenden is dying from leukemia. His doctors gave him 2 weeks to live, and he has made it past that. He is expected to pass soon.

When he passed a small tent city near his neighborhood, he said that he wanted to help the homeless people. He said they deserve a chance.

His wish has sparked a nationwide movement to help those less fortunate. Brenden is an inspiration to me and many others. Brenden wants to become an angel when he dies, but I think he is an angel now.

I want to organize a luncheon in Brenden's honor for the homeless here in my City. Our new center "The Refuge" is now fully operational and we have a large dining hall. I want to set a date to hold this luncheon for the neary 150 needy people we help.

I want to do this in Brenden's honor and I am going to invite the local media to the event. I also want to bring awareness to the public about the homeless and hungry amongst us.

Lastly, I would like to use this wish to bring awareness to Wish Upon A Hero. I'd like to have a banner printed with Brenden's name "In Honor Of Brenden Foster" and a banner with the WUAH name and logo.

Together we can make a difference. We can also honor a little boy whose life made a difference.

Please pray for Brenden and his family as well as all that are homeless and hungry.

    Eleven year old Brenden Foster died Friday, 21 November 2008, but throughout this world he will be remembered always. His darkest hour was his brightest light. This is a story as much of his words as it is of his deeds.

    His dying wish was to help the homeless. "They're probably starving, so give 'em a chance, food and water." It has become a national movement. He wasn't afraid to die. He had said that he just wanted to make a difference, before his time came. And he did!

    May God grant Brenden his wings so that he can become a Guardian Angel for those less fortunate. My condolences to Brenden's family.

    Thank you to all the heroes for your kindness and generosity. Ablefamily, I am crying right now. Your kind act brings me to tears. I am keeping this wish open only because there is one member who asked me to keep it open for 3 days so that she could be a part of this. Otherwise, this wish is granted. I will let all of you know what date the luncheon will be and will make sure you all get to see the photos of the event and hopefully the video from the TV station. God bless.
