I WISH Natural Household Cleansers

I work really hard to keep my house a healthy, safe place to work and play. I have been using those cleaners you probably see on the tv everyday even though they cause me many problems, ie. breathing, numbed tongue, and irritated skin. Even though I follow the directions very closely I still have the same problem. These cleaners don't even have to contatct my skin to cause irritation. I have tried many substitutions, but none have worked. Does anyone have any natural cleaning products that they can send me that are healthy for me to use and safe for my kids. I really don't have money to buy anymore, but I hate to sacrifice the safety of myself and my family in the meanwhile. Thanks for reading my wish. I hope all of your wishes come true.

The best safe cleaning product to use is water and vinegar. We use it all the time, just 2 tablesppons in a spray bottle with hot, hot water will clean just about any surface. As a disinfectant and cleaner we use original Listerine, same amount in spray bottle. It cleans, disinfects and kills germs. You can spray on all surfaces including carpet, behind beds and furnishings.

To use a room deodoriser use a cootnball with just a tab of Eucalyptus Essential Oil and place in vacum cleaner, it will leave your home not only smelling fresh but it is also a healthy scent. If you prefer Peppermint Oil is another choice. Please do not use more than a drop or two for the oils are consenteated and you do not want too strong of a scent.
If you have oranges or lemons cut them and leave in a dish to take away cooking odors.

Try not to use bleach and amonia for it does irritate the nostrils, expecially in children.

    Hope this helps.

vinegar is a great cleaner. as well as peroxide for a disinfectant. both are pretty cheap, and work well.

Baking soda & vinegar are the top two natural cleaners.

Do a little reasearch on these sites and you too can clean your house without harsh cleaners. Good luck and I hope I was helpful.

Have you tried PM'ing mommyof11 or going to her website? I know she is REALLY busy but I think she uses all natural products in her home because of her son's needs. I bet she would be a great resource for making or buying natural cleaning products.

I agree with the othes that Baking Soda is an amazing cleaner! It cleaned off all the yucky burnt stuff from my stove top when expensive super cleaners didn't even work!

I also like Simple Green for general cleaning. It is non-toxic, and concentrated, so one bottle lasts a really long time.

    Darling,
you really can get these things locally at walmart or big lots. Dont let anyone try to tell you that you have to spend a ton for them.
Vinegar is the best for general surface, mixed with water. great for windows too, and floors. If you need true disinfection, a bleach solution spray 1:10 you can make your own, for areas in the kitchen and bathroom. Baking soda is a good scrubber.

    good old fashioned receipe:
in a spray bottle, fill up 90% white vingear, 10% ammonia and 1 tablespoon dishwashing liquid - after putting top back on ;) shake and voila ! cleaner for windows, kitchen counters, cermanic, etc.

I know how you feel, I used to use Melaleuca products and swore by them but it got to the point that I could not afford them.

Now I use this all purpose cleaner called LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner and you can buy it in a spray bottle at Dollar General or Family Dollar for $1 or $3 for a big bottle of it.
Its all natural and affordable, I use it on EVERYTHING including my laundry as a stain remover. Its been a great alternative especially for my son since he is severe asthmatic.

I really hope you find a hero cause I know how you feel!
