My parents are struggling very bad. My dad had a stroke 2 1/2 weeks
ago. He's very confused, disoriented, has vision problems, having
problems reading and writing now. He just turned 64 on Nov. 16. My
dad went back work a couple days later and is struggling very bad.
He also works so hard to provide for my mother who can't work due
to her health issues. Yesterday he just found out that his plant is
closing down in January. My parents are going to lose everything.
(health insurance, life insurance, the house) He can collect
unemployment for a year, but that won't be enough for my parents to
survive on. My parents also won't be able to afford to get their
medications after all said and done. My dad takes 10 pills a day to
keep him alive. Now what's going to happen? My brothers and sister
and I are all helping out as much as we can, but it's hard with the
economy so bad and we all have children ourselves. We are all
struggling. All I'm asking for is anyone to help them get some food
in the house. There living off spaghetti right now. They deserve
much more than that. My dad has worked so hard and provided for his
family all these years and it hurts me that we can't help him or my
mom right now financially with everything. We can only do so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. God Bless everyone.

I want to thank the Make A Wish Foundation for granting my wish by giving my parents a gift card. Every bit helps. They greatly appreciate your kindness. It means alot to my parents.
Thanks, Heather Moore

Has your dad applied for Social Security yet? Since he is 64 he is eligible for benefits. Also, have they applied for food stamps?
