I WISH for gift cards

We found out that our unborn son has Duodenal Atresia. He will be transfered to Le Bouhner Childrens Hospital 2 or 3 days after he is born. We will be making a trip to Le Bouhner Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN for him to have surgery.

Duodenal atresia (DA) is a birth defect. It is a blockage which affects the first part of the small intestine. An infant with duodenal atresia is born without a connection between the first and second parts of the intestines (duodenum and jejunum). An infant with this defect cannot move food through the intestines. Since there is no way for food to get through the intestines, all infants with duodenal atresia require surgery.

Our wish is for gift cards to Wal-Mart, fast food resturants, or even coupons for free Ex. hamburger, sandwhiches, etc.

Anything is greatly appreciated. Here is the link to my other wish. I know I am a new member, the Admin. confirmed our wish, that our son has this condition, he will be going to Memphis to have surgery, and his length of stay in the hospital. Thank you and God Bless!

  Landon ate for the first time today!! They said if his feedings go well that he may get to go home in 7-10 days!!!

  I am so thankful that he is getting better each day! Soon, I pray you'll be bringing him home! There were some shouts of joy from our house when we read your news about him coming home in 2 weeks or less :)
  We wish we could see him- but we cannot access Myspace, because of a school filter on our computer- but I just KNOW he's a cutie!

  He is doing wonderfully! They took him off his oxygen today and said he might be able to feed in a few days! They moved him to the step up unit... the unit before he gets to go home. They are projecting him being able to go home in 10-14 days!!! I could've just danced when they told me that!!!! I am so happy!!! HUGS

  He is completely off oxygen now. All we need to do now is wait for his intestine to heal and then he can start eating!!

  Landon was taken off the ventalator and put on nasal oxygen. He is doing great so far!!

  The fluid has cleared up on his lungs!!! :-D His settings are at room air on his breathing machine! Hopefully he will be coming back off the ventalator!! He is doing well this morning and is resting! Thank you so much for the prayers and support! God Bless!!

  Thank you so very much for everyone's outpouring of support. Landon is doing okay today, he had a little fluid on his lungs from laying so long. So they are going to have to vibrate his chest to loosen it out. He is still on the ventalator today, simply b/c his medication has him so relaxed they don't want him to forget to breath. I am going to try and get online as much as possible. They had to give him blood again this morning b/c he was a little low from his surgery. Please continue to pray for him. The prayers are what have gotten us through! I know God has everything in control!

  They took him off the ventalator until surgery (which will be the beginning of next week) and we are going to get to hold him this afternoon. Will get pictures of him up on my myspace page tonight! So go see the lil' guy! He is sooo beautiful. Pray his surgery goes well and for a swift recovery. I can't wait to take him home!!

  Latest update on Landon: They are more than likely going to take Landon's chest tube out. They have got him down to 21% oxygen on the ventalator and may be coming off it in a few days. They decided to go ahead and take the chest tube out since they don't know when the surgery will be. They are going to let his plattlets regulate on their own before they operate on him. Hopefully that will be soon. Thank you so much for all the outpouring of support and prayers. I pray he continues doing well. The surgery is going to be another rough patch for him to have to go through. But, hopefully he will be more stable and on the road to recovery. He is opening his eyes and moving more as well. I just hope I can hold him soon! God Bless!!
