I WISH i never had a house fire.......

well here goes nothing, I really wanna thank all the people that were and are concerned for my family. Not many of you know but last night (1/16/08) around 1:30am we had a house fire. it started in my fireplace and when through to the outside walls. THANKFULLY no one was hurt but theres alot of replaceing to be done. i know our home owners insurance will cover most of it but not all...the smoke went through our whole home and now i have to clean out all our kitchen cabinets of any food that isnt sealed in plastic and clear the fridge of everything.....gee just what i wanted to do, throw all the food we have out....just to top everything off the money i was using for food this week goes to replace my walls and cleaning up(till the insurance company HOPFULLY pays.)the carpet and hardwood floors have to be ripped out, all my furniture is now trashed(its fun sitting on a soaked soggy floor) my poor babies arent realy allowed to play other then in there bed room. now all we can do is sit and pray all this damage is covered and we will get reimbursed.please if nothing else just pray for us. Its soo hard as a young family in there first home to have to go through this and i HOPE no one else has to....ty for listening to me rant and i totally appreciate all the love this site has givin me soo far....THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

If your home is unlivable they have to pay for you to live somewhere else while the house is being repaired at their expence Contact me if you need help making all of this happen I have been an adjuster for 30 years and I know what should and will happen, and what you are saying does not sound right.

  Krissy, I heard you are quite anxious about not receiving promised grants. Yes, I am horrible about getting snail-mail sent but I only received the address four days ago. There was both a weekand and a legal holiday. $20 cash and a Valentines Day card to make you laugh has already been sent. You said your address was "safe." I know it is not much but I hope it helps. :)

  and radio dj i know in st louis is contacting the media in your area to see if they can spread the word for you even if not on air but on websites

  wow, ss to hear of the fire Krissy. I am surprised they are having you stay in the house in that condition. When my sister's house was smoke damaged they were put up in a hotel by the American Red Cross and then stayed with some friends. If I can help you let me know since we are so close.
