for walls so I may have a place to live

Good afternoon heroes! I hope this wish finds you all doing well.

My husband and I have a home, that was built in 1938. Since January, we have been working hard to fix it's issues, and make it a SAFE home for us to live in. Unfortunatly, our building funds have run dry, and we are now in a terrible situation.

The house we are currently living in, will not be our home for much longer. We are looking at less than 2 weeks to move out of this house. The problem is, the other house isn't ready.

Our new kitchen, had black mold on the walls, ceiling, in the cabinets, and behind the walls. The floor had asbestos tiles. The electrical in the kitchen was BAD and it would spark anytime you plugged something in. We tore out the cabinets, ceiling, and walls. We ripped up all of the asbestos tiles. We rewired the electrical so it is now safe to use... The problem is, we still have no walls!

Without walls, the house cannot be titled "habitable", so legally we cannot live there, until the drywall goes up. The wires are exposed. We cannot obtain the final inspection on the electrical until the walls are in place, so no legal house for us!

I've been praying hard, everyday for a solution to our issue. I'm making this wish and reaching out, hoping for some help! We need 24 sheets of drywall, to get our house legal. Each sheet is $7. I'm wishing, for you to help me have a home! Could you grant me one sheet of drywall? I would be forever grateful and swear to pay it forward by continuing to grant wishes as I can.

I would like to thank Home Depot, especially Chuck and Mike for helping me to get the supplies we need to get our home legal. Thankyou guys for putting up with me, and my hero, and dealing with our bigillion phone calls! You guys are amazing!!!

Leslie (bleu), you are such an incredible woman! To sit and home and call around to so many different places in my hometown, until you found the right one. Well, it takes my breath away. You are an amazing woman, and awesome hero, and I'm happy to call you a new friend! Thankyou so much for helping with my wish. We can now have a HOME to live in. Safe from harmful particles so we can be happy, healthy, and get back on our feet.

HATS OFF TO HOME DEPOT. CHUCH AND MIKE ARE OUR HERO'S. AFTER CONTACTING AND ADVOCATING THIS WISH THE JOB WAS INSPECTED AND ELAINE WENT OUT TO GET THE TRUCK TODAY WITH HER FATHER AND THE TRUCK WAS LOADED WITH 24 SHEETS OF DRYWALL,5GALS OF MUDD,50LBS OF SCREWS AND 500FT OF TAPE.WHEN THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE DONE AND LEAVING 15 EMPLOYEE'S ROLLED OUT 15 ROLLS OF INSULATION. WOW. THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT. CARING AND SHARING,HELPING AND PRAYING.HOMEDEPOT YOU RAISED THE HAIR RIGHT UP ON MY ARMS AND I CRIED TEARS OF JOY FOR THIS FAMILY. CHUCK AND MIKE YOU WERE A JOY TO TALK TO AND IF I GET TO MISING THAT ACCENT YOU'LL BE GETTING A CALL. LOL. I WILL BE PASSING THIS ON TO DAVE,THE FOUNDER OF WUAH. WTG!! Leslie...I am so glad you were able to work this out!!
I was about to grant you a sheet of drywall when Leslie mentioned she was working on it, I am thrilled that it worked out.
Now you will just have to have a virtual housewarming when its all up and ready to live in! If you do decide to do that, please send me the link, so I can get something besides a piece of drywall! ;)

you could call Habitat for Humanity and see if they can help you finish your home ... alot to cummonitiesd have help-yourself orgaizations that work with habitat ...good luck
