I WISH for car seats

Hello heroes! I am wishing today for help to get new car seats for my babies. My 8 mo old son Landon has outgrown his infant seat and my 3 year old daughter Casha has been using a seat that we used with my oldest daughter and she is 8! I recently found out car seats expire after 5 years and I would guess this one to be at least over 10 years old as we got it used...maybe older. I made a WalMart wishlist with the cheapest ones for their age ranges. If anyone can help at all we would be so very grateful! Thanks for taking your time to read our wish!     As per our conversation in PM Shawna this wish will be granted by Walk On Heroes. We will be purchasing your car seats off of your Wal-Mart wish list. Administration should be contacting you. Walk On Heroes not only wants to ensure that everyone has basic necessities, but that everyone is safe.

    I also changed the target list to ones that are in stock. The one for Casha on there goes to 100 lbs and the WalMart one is 80 lbs. On Landons they both go to 40 lbs. Whichever is better for you would be wonderful. Anything would be a huge blessing at this point! Thank you all again so much for all your help and the education I have recieved today! lol.

    Im so sorry I didnt even notice that on the target list! Oh my goodness, yes that would be wonderful if you could get the seats from the WalMart list! We would be thrilled. I actually just changed the seat I had on there for Casha to another booster that has the 5 point harness (the other one was just belt positioning) and its even $5 cheaper!!! lol. Thank you soooo very much! You are an angel!

    It appears your target list is temporarily out of stock, so if I go with your Wal-mart list and site to store is that ok?

    better. In addition, replacement parts and instructions may no longer be available for older safety seats, and manufacturers may no longer be in business.

    There are several issues surrounding used child safety seats, so in general they are not recommended.Here are a few of the concerns:

    The full history of a second-hand safety seat may be unknown. It may have been damaged in a previous crash, weakened by inappropriate use and storage, or otherwise compromised.
    All of the original parts, instructions and labels may not be present and in good condition. Parts substituted from other models are inappropriate, as are other user modifications, and can compromise the safety of the device.
    The safety seat may be recalled. Missing or damaged labels may make that difficult to assess, and determining whether a recalled part has been repaired or replaced can also be difficult.
    The safety seat may be too old.Most manufacturers agree that a safety seat that is more than six years old should not be used. This is primarily due to the facts that performance standards frequently change and devices incorporating new technologies protect children

    ILoveMyKids0308 - Wow I just read your wish. I dont know if there were comments that were deleted or what but it sure looks like you had a hard time with it. Im so sorry that happened to you! Sometimes people comment when they really should just move on to a wish that agrees with them more. I hope you didnt get too upset over it. So very glad you got your seat though!!! Yay for your lil man!

    Hi. I havent even read the comments, but please read my wish on a carseat and how I feel about used and what I was told about Used.
    Its just too much to write here, lol.
    I wish I could help, but I just got one granted myself.
    And no WIC, Fire, or Police help with them either.
    I hope you find MANY Heros to keep your Little ones safe!!

    Ok we were so excited that she finally reached that 30 pound limit but it probably is safer to keep the 5 point harness.... Hmmm Im so lost on all this!
