My name is Dawn and Im 34 with 14yr old daughter. Ive been happily "married" to my wife for 4 yrs. Our car recently ended up at the junk yard and needing a way to and from work we got a scooter. 3 weeks ago while we were coming home from work a car failed to yield in the intersection and we collided. My wife was thrown over the car and myself into the side of the car knocking me unconscious. My wife and I get transported to the ER with possible internal injuries and broken bones. Our injuries were not that severe but severe none the less...stitches,concussion, hematoma,torn rotary cuffs, bruises and cuts. My ER bill alone is almost $24,000. The after effects hurt way worse then the physical affects. Now with no transportation we both have been out of work, no income coming in, no money for food, rent or even a way to the grocery store. We are waiting for help from the insurance but it may take weeks to months for help. We have went without food and household items that people use in everyday living. My wish is simple but so far out of reach...my wish is for anything you could spare to help in our time of need, even if its just Ramon noodles or a roll of toilet paper...to a ride to the grocery store or help with rent...ANYTHING is more then we have now.
