Hi all,

I am disabled. I have trained and used service dogs in the past. I have been dog-less for over a year now in search for the perfect dog.

I was told about a dog in Texas that was in training to become a service dog. His handler's health issues have become too much and she had decided that it would be better to re-home him to another home that needs a service dog.

I have been talking to the trainer and it sounds like the dog would be a perfect match for me. He is partway trained and I have no issues with training him the rest of the way.

The problem is, he is in Texas and I am in Oregon.

I have enough money to get his supplies and care for him, but on short notice I can't afford the travel costs.

The plan is for me to fly from Portland to San Antonio where I would pick up the dog and fly back with him in cabin as an emotional support animal.

I will need one night in a hotel to rest before flying back to Portland.

The best price is to book at least two weeks in advance so we need the donations as soon as possible.

Flight; Hotel; Taxi; Food.

All the above comes to $600.

I am open to other ways of granting this wish, such as frequent flyer miles, someone booking for me, if someone has a charter plane that is willing to take me to get the dog, or bringing the dog to me.

Please if you can't help grant the wish, please share with your friends and loved ones, the more people that see this gives me more of a chance to get my service dog I have waited so long for.
