Baby needs Nutramigen formula due to numerous allergies

This is a request specifically for Nutramigen formula as baby Ricky has a number of allergies that he is too young to test for but are apparent when any of the more popular (cheaper) formulas are attempted to supplement all available breast milk. Due to my limited insurance policy his prescribed formula is not covered. I do not want him to become malnourished and I am truly grateful for any help you may be able to provide.

Thank you so much for reading our wish!

Down to our last two 8 oz. cans - used all the free samples and doctor's office is out.

I have submitted a doctors note twice now to WIC but they're still counting "household income" from others that do not contribute to costs for the baby unfortunately. :(

Talk to his doctor, for every docs visit we were able to get 1 free can (supposed to be a sample, but was full size) another thing is contact the manufacture sometims they will send extra coupons/samples when you call them. we were on this program with them that sent us a free can & extra samples every month. so total we got 2 free cans a month(which helped a lot) also as soon as hes able to be tested ask them to test for CORN ALLERGY. my son is severely allergic and the nutramigen is the only corn free formula on the market. you can also check out avoidingcorn.com or just google infant allergic to corn. it might be something good to look up. they did my sons rasp test at 17 months (his was a 4 on the scale) but some people are getting them done at 3 months (just not as accurate) also check out babiesrus (for every and 9 cans you get 1 free) & diapers.com (usually gives you free 2 day shipping & 10 off 40)
God Bless & I hope you get heroes!

Also try getting food stamps. Tell them that the other person in the house dosnt eat with you.. You can get it for you your babys father and the baby.. You can use it to pay for formula :) We have to buy a couple cans a month that way!

If you can get your child on medicaid then they will have to let you have wic. (Easier to get medicaid then wic alone) Also Nutramigen has the power of two (number is on the top of the can) Oh my goodness hun I really dont see how you are affording this! My daughter is also on it and if it wasnt for Wic I dont know what we would do. Call enfamil and explain to them your issues..They will send you a letter for your dr to sign to give to your insurance provider and ASK them for a couple samples..Tell them similac sent you two samples and you are trying to decide which to use ;) And similac will send you two samples of their version of nutramigen.. I will be praying you find a hero and people will be supportive on here! I really wish I could help..

Praying u get heros. My daughter was put on that formula when she was a baby and i know how expensive it is. Try writing to the manufactor. We contacted them and received "free samples" and also coupons. We had wic at the time, but every month we had to purchase extra. take care!

Have you considered applying for Medicaid for the baby? Medicaid will pay for the formula through your local pharmacy.....and maybe have that household member start contributing, so your son can be on the correct formula.

Hello and thanks to everyone taking the time to comment. I take the one a day prenatal vitamins and also started the Yogi Woman's Nursing Support herbal tea supplement but with not much change. I've registered with Enfamil and hope to receive more of their generous coupons and samples. I took the prescription from the doctor and gave it to WIC but a household member that does not contribute to costs puts us outside of the program's income eligibility guidelines. Thanks again for all the blessings you have provided!

Random advice: maybe you could use some of the "milk producing" supplements out there for breastfeeding mothers (fenugreek, etc..) so you can make more milk and not have to buy so much formula? Many blessings on you and your beautiful baby :)
